Neighbors Helping Neighbors. It is estimated that almost 900,000 of our NJ neighbors rely on food banks. Most of these pantry shelves are stocked with processed packaged items, which are loaded with trans-fat and sodium. Our students and faculty will be celebrating “National Eating Healthy Day” on Wednesday, November 7th .Please join us by donating healthier foods to your local food pantries. Some healthier donations would be whole wheat grains, low/no sodium canned goods and fruit packaged in fruit juice.    Check out the American Heart Association’s web site “Stocking a Healthy Pantry”that provides additional suggestions for donations. Thank you in advance for your support! Eat smart. Add color. Move more. Be well.
